Neglected for the past 25 years, Janakee Sadan stands tight in a street of Sangamner, Maharashtra. A 150-year-old edifice, the house was made with traditional materials like stone, flat brick, lime, mud, wooden posts and beams with wooden joists for slab. A part of the building collapsed owing to lack of maintenance and use. The family soon decided to save and restore their ancestral property with the support of a local NGO and the aid of Artha Studio.
